Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) program serving students with moderate to severe needs. These contract positions support ESY services from late June to July 2026, with placements primarily in Levittown, PA, and nearby locations within Bucks County.

Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to students' individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with support staff to promote positive behavioral and learning outcomes. The role involves working Monday through Thursday, with classroom hours from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and student instruction from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm during the ESY period.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification or Emergency Permit with evidence of enrollment in an approved certification program
• Proven ability and comfort working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Reliable transportation with residence within 35 minutes of the assigned school site
• Commitment to the full ESY schedule, including mandatory orientation and preparatory sessions from June 23 to June 25, 2026
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated professionalism in educational settings

Locations include multiple schools in Levittown and Quakertown, with efforts made to match teachers to sites near their homes and appropriate to their expertise.

Candidates must provide:

• Up-to-date resume and proof of active licensure or emergency permit with program enrollment
• One supervisory reference for previous Special Education roles (minimum rating 3.5 if applicable)
• Responses to screening questions covering credentialing timeline, availability, experience, commute, and attendance reliability

Please note, candidates who have worked with this client through another agency within the past year are ineligible due to a mandatory one-year break policy.
