FedEx Delivery Driver

Job Summary

A FedEx Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering packages to residential and commercial customers on a scheduled route. Drivers provide excellent customer service, maintain delivery accuracy, and ensure timely pickups and deliveries while following company safety procedures and transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, organize, and unload packages for daily delivery routes
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles in various traffic and weather conditions
  • Deliver packages to homes and businesses on schedule
  • Collect signatures and verify delivery information when required
  • Perform package pickups and returns
  • Use handheld scanners and GPS/navigation systems
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum age requirement (commonly 21 years old for many contractor positions)
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening and Obtain a Medical Certificate
  • Ability to lift packages up to 50–150 lbs depending on route requirements
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Experience in delivery driving, logistics, or customer service preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and walking
  • Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicle repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in different weather conditions

Work Environment

  • Full-time and part-time positions may be available
  • Early morning start times are common
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required during peak seasons
