Job Description
Overview We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction crew. This role is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on a variety of job sites including foundations, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and more. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with concrete work, a solid understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Responsibilities - Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs
- Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds
- Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers)
- Apply textures or surface treatments as specified (broom finish, stamped, etc.)
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly
- Cut control joints and edges for proper expansion and appearance
- Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods
- Ensure quality control, proper thickness, slope, and surface integrity
- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order
- Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
- Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
- Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
- Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
- Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong knowledge of concrete tools, techniques, and materials
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area.
