As an Automation Engineering Interns, you'll be an integral part of our manufacturing engineering team, working closely with our experienced Automations Control Engineer and Maintenance Department. You'll gain hands-on experience in understanding our current business needs and processes and optimizing automation efficiencies with our plastic blow molding and injection molding operation. You will be assisting with the installation and setup of various automation equipment, and our ideal candidate would have experience and comfortability using various hand tools and power tools. Experience working with machinery, welding and fabrication equipment is preferred. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance team to optimize our plastic blow molding and injection molding processes.
Work closely with our Automations Control Engineer to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and make necessary adjustment to increase performance.
Responsible for building control cabinets which include reading/learning wiring schematics, terminating wires and connecting pneumatics.
Assist with building and installing conveyor components including conveyor chains and wiring motor drives.
Support the engineering team with robotic cell builds.
Gain experience and assist working on various automation equipment/systems including FANUC, Allen Bradley and Keyence.
Conduct trial testing and experiments to improve product quality and efficiency.
Collect and analyze data to identify areas of process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process enhancements.
Learn and grow by actively participating in training and mentorship programs.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recent completion of a degree in robotics and automation engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Eagerness to learn and a strong passion for manufacturing with a continuous improvement mindset.
Hands on approach when solving manufacturing automation related issues
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.
